Specialist psychiatry for regional, rural and remote Australia
FRANZCP consultant psychiatrists by secure video, wherever you live. Reduced assessment fees for patients in MM2 to MM7 areas, ADHD included.
No travel. No waiting room. A named consultant psychiatrist and a report back to your GP within five business days.
Distance should not decide who gets to see a psychiatrist
Most of Australia’s psychiatrists work in the capital cities. If you live in Emerald, Geraldton, Mildura or Katherine, the nearest specialist may be a day’s drive and a six-month wait away.
PsycheTel AUSTRALIA was built by clinicians who have worked in MM5 to MM7 communities across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. We know what a referral looks like from a small town, and what it costs a family to travel for an appointment.
So we do it differently. You are seen by a named consultant psychiatrist, not a rotating roster. Your GP receives a comprehensive report within five business days. And if you live outside a major city, your assessment fee is lower.

Fees are payable in full two business days before your appointment. We lodge your Medicare claim for you after the consultation and the rebate is paid to your nominated account. Rebates shown are 85% of the MBS schedule fee for out-of-hospital consultant psychiatrist video attendances, current as published on MBS Online at the date shown on this page. Your Medicare history may affect the rebate you receive; reception will confirm the exact figure when you book. Regional Access Pricing is determined by the address on your Medicare card at the time of booking and does not combine with any other reduction.
The Australian Government’s Health Workforce Locator classifies every address from MM1 (major cities) to MM7 (very remote). It is the same classification Medicare uses.
