Telehealth Psychiatry for the Gold Coast

PsycheTel Australia provides specialist psychiatric care to people across the Gold Coast by secure telehealth. You connect with an AHPRA-registered consultant psychiatrist by video from home, so there is no drive up the M1 and no waiting room. As a Queensland-based telehealth service, we know the region and the pressure on local care. Please note that PsycheTel is a telehealth service and does not operate a physical clinic on the Gold Coast. Our telepsychiatry care reaches you wherever you are across the city and hinterland.

Why Telehealth Psychiatry
Works for Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is one of the fastest-growing cities in Australia, and demand for mental health care has grown with it. Getting to a private psychiatrist has often meant a long wait, or a trip to Brisbane and back up the M1 for a single appointment. For people working in hospitality, shift roles, or juggling family, that is a real barrier to consistent care.

Telehealth removes the travel and shortens the wait. Whether you are in the northern growth corridor around Coomera, the central suburbs, or down toward the border, you can see a consultant psychiatrist from home rather than travelling out of the region.

Areas we serve across Gold Coast

Because our care is delivered by telehealth, we support people right across the Gold Coast, including Southport, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, and Coolangatta, the northern suburbs around Helensvale, Coomera, and Nerang, and the Gold Coast hinterland. We also reach people just across the border in the Tweed region of northern NSW, an area many Gold Coasters live and work across.

Conditions We Assess and Treat

Our consultant psychiatrists provide assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management for a range of conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. We also offer confidential support for healthcare workers and first responders. You can explore each of these on our services pages.

Medicare and referrals

A valid referral from your GP or another specialist is required to claim a Medicare rebate for a psychiatry consultation. If you have a regular GP on the Gold Coast, they can provide this and share useful background information. If you are not sure how to start, our team can guide you and your GP through the referral process.

Mental Health Care
in Your Language

The Gold Coast is home to a growing and diverse community. Several of our psychiatrists consult in languages other than English, including Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, and Romanian, so you can talk about your mental health in the language you feel most comfortable using. If you would like to speak with a psychiatrist in a particular language, let our team know when you get in touch.

Brisbane is one of Australia’s most culturally diverse cities. Several of our psychiatrists consult in languages other than English, including Urdu, Hindi, Tamil, and Romanian, so you can talk about your mental health in the language you feel most comfortable using. If you would like to speak with a psychiatrist in a particular language, let our team know when you get in touch.
